I’m Chavika. I lived in Dubai for more than 12 years before moving to New Zealand in 2019 to pursue my doctoral studies. I have since graduated with a PhD in Finance. By profession, I am an accountant, and baking has always been a true passion of mine. The self-satisfaction and appreciation I received for my creations led to the founding of Sugar ‘N Spice Box in 2014.
To further develop my skills, I undertook professional training with Queen of Hearts Couture Cakes, where I gained hands-on experience in fondant decorations, chocolate making, and a variety of patisserie techniques. Over time, my love for baking continued to grow, inspiring me to create a range of confectioneries and sweet treats. Gooey fudge brownies and triple chocolate cookies quickly became all-time favourites, especially with my kids.
I look forward to widening my horizons and eventually building Sugar ‘N Spice Box into a business that creates sweet memories.
